ICTI

The International Communication Training Institute (ICTI) is ICMC's media education and training initiative. ICTI functions as a self regulating partnership of agencies and individuals committed to raising the quality of media education and learning for christians.

Participants have covenanted to work together to:

  • Identify training needs and offer appropriate solutions.
  • Promote and facilitate quality training for organisational and personal development.
  • Encourage the sharing of curriculum and training resources.
  • Develop and monitor common standards.
  • Evaluate outcomes and award certificates to agreed standards.
  • Provide training for trainers.

Catalyst is ICTI's newsletter with the latest in training activities from members and the wider training community. Available by post to members who have subscribed. A subscription includes a free copy of each issue of the Journal providing those involved in media training and the development of media trainers with scholarly articles and ideas.

  • A searchable database of articles in the Journal of the International Communication Training Institute including links to the full text articles as soon as they become available.


  • This forum allows you to announce forthcoming training courses and events relevant to the ICTI Network.

    ICTI reserves the right to remove information considered irrelevant to ICTI's activities or membership.


  • ICTI's quarterly newsletter, Catalyst, is published online by the International Christian Media Commission on behalf of ICTI.


  • Documents and Procedures relating to ICTI Approval Procedures as well as the ICTI Certificate in Training. You can also view model course curriculums in this section as well.


  • The ICTI website now carries a selection of media training handouts, offered freely by trainers for anyone to download, copy and use. They don't have to be used in the form they appear, since they might not be exactly appropriate. So they can be altered and modified to suit the individual trainer using them.

  • This forum/course requires an enrolment key

    This forum supports participants and provides a place for trainers to discuss experiences and issues that may arise.

  • A place for trainers with a focus on the African continent to share ideas and plans.
