Training of Trainers Workshops
Never before has the need for high quality media education and training been valued by the Church as now.
The opportunities are increasing weekly and more and more media professionals find themselves called on to share their skills with others. At the same time training for trainers is harder to find.
Now, the International Communication Training Institute is able to offer you the opportunity to develop your training and teaching skills by helping you develop the skills necessary not only to train more effectively but to assess and revise your own training methods.
The ICTI Training of Trainers workshops are intended for professionals already competent in their radio, TV, or print skills, who are called upon to train others . The course has no formal media content and may also be relevant to others seeking to provide high-quality training as well as those involved in managing small and medium sized organisations or departments in larger organisations.
The workshops can be delivered In five day and two week course formats. The two-week approach allows participants a more relaxed study regime but in either case participants will explore:
Characteristics of Adult learning - Motivation of adults - Leading discussions - Handling feedback - Running exercises and Simulations - Visual aids and handouts - The learning environment - Running a session and developing session plans - Group dynamics - Evaluating training
ICTI Training for Trainers workshops include practical sessions. Participants will practice teaching skills in small groups.
Staff for the course bring many years practical experience in helping trainers learn to train, both within the mass media and in industry.
Places on ICTI Training of Trainers events are limited and preference is given firstly to applicants who are members of ICTI or who work with or for ICTI members, and then to those working in the arts and media.
The schedule of dates is always being updated and the latest dates are published in the ToT discussion forum which you can enter as a guest.
