African Media Trainer of the Year - Nominations Open

Map of Africa created by dried nutsThe Institute is to make an award to the African Trainer of the Year at the AbR Media Continental Convention in Accra, Ghana in September The award is open to anyone who is the citizen of an African nation. The individual has to be nominated andthe decision will be based upon a short written recommendation or statement which gives evidence of impact by the individual. In addition to a certificate the winner will receive a 4g Android smartphone. Nominations are open now.

To nominate someone send an Email to icti@icmc.org.

The Email must contain the name, address and Email address of the nominee/candidate AND the nominating person/referee. The nominating referee should state their connection to the person they are nominating.

The Email should tell us in not more than 350 words why this person should be recognised as an effective

trainer. You should describe the specific evidence that you believe has demonstrated the individual’s effectiveness. In particular we would like to know about the impact that the training has had.

Nominations must be received by Friday, 8 September 2017 and may be submitted in English, French, Portuguese, Swahili or Spanish.

The judges will make their decision and the winner will be announced at the AbR Media Continental Convention in Accra, Ghana. The prize will be presented at the Convention. It is the candidate’s responsibility to organize transport of the prize from the Convention if he or she is unable to attend. The judges may award certificates to runners-up to recognise their excellence and impact.

Nominees will be citizens of an African nation. Staff of the International Communication Training Institute, AbR Media, the judges and their relatives are not eligible to participate. The decision of the judges is final.
