Contributing to the wiki

You are welcome to contribute to this field manual. It belongs to the ICTI network. You agree to make your contribution on the understanding that it is available to the whole network on a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License

We have a few easy rules.
  • Give credit where credit is due...If you refer to work undertaken by someone else give an appropriate credit
  • Write in English. We would like to include material in other languages but we're starting in English. If you want to include a contribution in another language then create it in English then provide a link to the other language version in the English (see below about how to link).
  • If there are debates then the editor's decisions will, eventually, have to be final.

The easiest way to contribute is to add a comment. Just click the comments tab at the top of each article and make your contribution. This would be an ideal way of reflecting upon the topic in the public space. A place to pose questions and ideas.

However, if you want to update something in the main text or add some additional ideas or references then you will probably want to edit the article text instead.

You can edit any page including the Introduction page where the main index is located. Editing is more powerful and enables you to correct an idea or add to the main article by developing things further or providing extra information.

However, you contribute, it will be welcome.

To add a new page to the wiki simply edit the page where you think a link should appear (this could and most likely will be in the contents for a particular chapter). Type the page title between a pair of square brackets like this:

two open square brackets Your Page Title two closed square brackets

When you save the page the title will appear in the text like this:

Your Page Title

The first time you or someone else clicks on this red, italics, link you will be invited to create the page. Go ahead, create the page in HTML format and type your contribution. You can add links to existing pages created by someone else. This is a collaborative project.

The website has more information on adding and editing pages.

Looking forward to your participation...
